10 Tips On How To Be Confident To Speak In English

Hi everyone !! Here I want to share some tips on How to be Confident To Speak in English

FOR THE FIRST AND FOREMOST,

1. Read the language as much as possible.

Here, I do not mean just textbooks and assigned readings!  I mean, read things that you understand and enjoy, and that you would pick up to read even if it were in your mother language.  If you like romance novels or science fiction, read romance novels or science fiction in English!  If you read the news, get the newspaper in English. If you like sports, read sports reports in English.

2. Surround yourself with that language.

For a semester or so, all your radio and TV, music, videos and entertainment should be in your target language.  While you are mastering English, you should try as much as possible to wake up, work, study, play, relax, eat, drink, sleep, dream and make love in English

3. Do not try to translate from your mother language to your target language, or vice versa.

Not even the world’s greatest genius can master a language by translating. Force yourself to think in the target language, and translating will come naturally.

4. Converse informally as much as possible in English with educated speakers of that language.
Learn educated vocabulary, grammar and conversation patterns

5. Ask helps from any native speaker
We need to try to look for other alternatives in order for us to enhance ourselves in English. Ask helps from the person who is mother language in English. They could correct us in case we are using the wrong grammar as we stated in sentences.

6. Get an English grammar guide and a verb-book.

But, use them only as references when you are stuck on what to write. Do not expect to learn English from them, because you will not.  I guarantee it.

7. Learn to pay attention to the pronunciation in English
Listen carefully to the pronunciation of the words when other people is speaking. This could help you to pronounce the words correctly and as well knowing the meaning.

8. Organize group conversation with native speaker

Find a mother tongue English in the chat room, learning English site and chat with them via Skype or other Internet voice services. There are a lot of people who just love to talk with you over the phone or online to help you learn. Or maybe you can offer to teach them a little bit of your language in return. That there is something the way everyone gains from this experience. If you are in a country or city that you do not have a chance to find a friend of English and the mother talk on the phone or the Internet is the next best thing

9. Having a dictionary
Keep a translation dictionary with you at all times to translate a certain word as you hear it. This keeps learning fresh and up to date.

10. Practice

Always practice to gain confidence. Once you have the confidence, you can speak English fluently. For example, doing grammar exercises, playing words maze an so on.

This is one of my initiative to improve my English. In Clash Of Clans game, I join an international clan which use English to communicate to each other.

Hopefully this entry can help you
to become more CONFIDENT to speak in English.

GOOD LUCK !! =)

Challenges In Acquiring English

Are you having difficulty in learning English? You say to yourself: "If only I could learn English better, then I can do much more than that."? If you answered yes to these questions, and I'm sure you're wondering how you can do so. In this article, I would like to explain some of the problems faced by me in acquiring English. It can be divided into 4 parts which is
WRITING, READING, SPEAKING and LISTENING

  • WRITING
1. Cannot understand on how the English language really works

Writing is the most difficult skill that learners of any foreign language may face. We always having problems in selecting the right grammar to use in making sentences.

2. Influenced to do direct translating from mother language

As we know, many of us always do this in translating into or from English language. We translate the words by words from our mother language and write the meaning in English sentences.

  • READING

3. Mispronounced the words

There are differences in English usage in English-speaking countries in terms of spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. We always mispronounce the words because the words are  unfamiliar to us.

4. Misunderstanding the meaning and content guess

English language having such an extensive vocabulary and complicated grammar. Students rarely exposed to the slang words used by English speakers in every day conversation. Sentences can be predominantly filled with slang words, so maintaining a real sound of words can be difficult for anyone who doesn't understand what they mean.

5. Not said in right intonation

The variations in the different forms of English can often be difficult to understand. For example, the difference between using formal and informal language or the differences between spoken and written language.

  • SPEAKING

6.
Students speak more of their native language than English

The lower the students’ level or ages, the more probable it is that they will speak their native language most of the time. Some will even chat in pairs or small groups, completely oblivious to what is going on in class.

7. Lack of vocabulary

Vocabulary is one of the most comprehensive and difficult aspects of English for learners to master thoroughly. We didn't have nothing to say if we didn't wide of vocabulary.

  • LISTENING

8. Cannot keep up with the speed of speaker

People who is expert in English will speak fluently in high speed. It is common for spoken English to be delivered slowly and exceptionally clearly. For a beginner, it will become problems to them in catching up the words spoken by the speaker and translating it at the same time.

9. Do not understand what they had listen to

This will occur when we didn't have wide vocabulary. They will find hard to understand what they had listen to.

10. Do not hear too much in English

Prefer to listen in mother language other than English. for example, they listen to only Malay songs, watching Malay dramas and so on.

DO NOT MAKE THIS PROBLEMS AS AN EXCUSE
FOR YOU TO NOT LEARNING ENGLISH !!

The New ME

Hello guys... This my first time doing this kind of thing. I never been on blog before so I will try my best for it. Hope you will enjoy scrolling mine =)

The 'NEW' of me ?? hahahahha. There are nothing special about my life. All I know is play , play and play since my childhood. My mum getting worried when I cannot do reading and writing when I was Standard One. That funny right ? I only can read and write when I was in Standard Two. Pretty late huh ?

I loved sports very much especially football. For me , when I get active in sports , I can release my stress and learn new things in life. I started to reduce in sports when I was in Form 5. Mum only allowed me to get active in first three month. After that, I have put more focus on academic. My teachers also advice me to slow down my sports activity. So by hook or by crook , I had to listen to them. From that time , I rarely go out to play football with my friends in the evening. I just become like 'A GIRL' who always locked up at home.
My Teammate for 2013 (KOMSTAR FC)
This photo was taken when KOMSTAR vs SESMA.
We won by last minute goal which lead us to group champion and qualify to quarter final.
I really love this team so much.

Until right now , it's still effect me. When I at home , I rarely go out in the evening since its became a habit. After class end, I will spend time for gadgets or watching television.

THE LAZINESS HAD ENCOUNTER MY LIFE !!
